  1. Ultraviolet filter - An ultra-violet (UV) filter works by cutting out the UV rays that are invisible to us but to which film is sensitive. In effect, it improves haze penetration, reducing the overall blue cast associated with atmospheric haze and increasing color saturation. It works particularly well with a long-focus lens on a distant scene.
